Tell me about this website and the items for sale: This website has been developed by Barbara DiAnnibella and Susan Hurst, friends of Susan Peet, to assist her with the dispersal of her model horse collection. Sue had been active in collecting since the early 2000's, and despite chronic health issues, was able to participate in Region 9 and Region 10 live shows, as well as participate in NAN in 2008 and 2010. Unfortunately, she has not been able to show for 8 years now, and has decided to disperse the majority of her collection. Many items are being offered well below their original prices, in an effort to downsize her collection quickly. Susan Hurst is the primary contact to assist with this dispersal.
How can I purchase one or more of these items? Sales through April, 14 2018: Susan Hurst will be bringing these models to the Berks County 4-H Horse Council Model Horse Show on April 14, 2018 (Leesport, PA), where they can be purchased. This website allows you to view these items in advance, and if desired, purchase them in advance by making payment through PayPal to Susan Hurst, and accepting delivery of the item(s) at this live show. See below for additional information about making a purchase.
We are specifically looking to move a large number of items quickly, and without the hassle of packing and shipping them, or tracking time payments right now. No time payments will be available, nor will any items be considered for shipment until after this show concludes.
Sales after April 14, 2018: After this live show above have concluded, this site will be updated to show which items are still available. A decision will be made at that time regarding any type of time payments or shipping arrangements that can be made for these items. Additional items may also be added to the site at that time.
How do I purchase an item for delivery at the Berks County 4-H Horse Council Model Horse Show? First, contact Susan Hurst at [email protected] to determine if the model is still available. If it is, Susan will provide you with PayPal instructions to purchase the item, and then she will deliver it to you at the live show.
Can I put an item on hold and make time payments on it? Not at this time. Please see above for additional information.
Are you willing to accept an offer lower than the listed price? Not at this time. Many of these items are being offered for substantially less than their original purchase price, in an effort to sell as many items as quickly as possible.
What models would you accept in trades? No trades will be accepted. This is a collection dispersal sale, and no additional models or model horse related items are needed.
Will you ship purchased items to me? Not at this time. Please see above for additional information.
Can you email me additional photos of an item? Unfortunately, no. At this time, items will be available for in-person inspection at the live show noted above. Our goal was to take good photos of as many horses as possible to get them loaded to this website. All these horses are now wrapped up and ready for transport to the live show noted above.
Sue used to show a lot in performance, and there are some specific horses, dolls, props, etc. that I remember, but I don't see on this list. Are they available for sale? Sue has been selling small portions of her collection online for the past several years, as her health condition would allow. However, a substantial number of horses, tack and props are still in her collection. This is our first pass on getting a large number of items out and available to the public. As we reduce her collection, and as her health allows, we will be photographing and listing additional items, including horses, tack, dolls and props.
The descriptions are rather brief. What kind of condition are these items in, and do they come with any extra items? (Such as NAN Cards, trophies, etc.) Our goal was to get as many items listed as quickly as possible. Since any NAN cards these models may have are expired, we determined that cataloging them all would not necessarily increase the value or someone's desire to purchase a model -- they're all lovely and stand on their own merit. The items are all in excellent to very good condition, unless otherwise noted, and can be inspected in person at the live show noted above. Some models do come with expired NAN cards and NAN trophy plaques, which will be provided to the new owner upon purchase.
I think I see an error in one of your descriptions, can you correct it? We would love to correct any errors that you might see, regarding the name of a resin or OF model, or a sculpting or painting artist. We were sure we knew about 98% of these models, but there are a few that were unsigned, and/or that we could not locate on various resources on the Internet (Resin Directory, Stone Horse Reference site, Breyer Identification site, etc.). If you have additional information or corrections to provide, please send an email to Susan Hurst at [email protected]
Who do I contact for additional information, or if I have other questions? Susan Hurst can be reached at [email protected]. Please note, she has a full-time job with no access to personal email, so responses are limited to evenings and weekends. She will respond to your inquiry as soon as she is able.
